Breakfast

Our full, hot, decadent Nova Scotian breakfast is served in our country elegant dining room with pressed tin ceilings and wide pine floor. Just like a Farmhouse we start early, delivering a tray of coffee, tea or juice with fresh baked muffins to your door an hour before breakfast. Cold cereal is always available in addition to our hot breakfast. Breakfast is served in 2 courses to prepare you for the day ahead.

The first course often includes:

  • Yogurt Parfait, with homemade granola, field berries, drizzled with Nova Scotia Maple Syrup.
  • Heavenly Peaches sprinkled with brown sugar and crunchy granola topped with a dollop of sour cream and freshly grated nutmeg.
  • Baked Oatmeal with cream. A delicious step up from porridge with cinnamon, raisins, and pecans.
  • Blueberry Grunt, a true Nova Scotia delight. Hot fluffy dumplings simmered in Blueberry sauce and drizzled with fresh cream.

The final course, often referred to as “Oh, my gosh, more food!” often includes:

  • Green Eggs and Ham (The Dr Suess Special) Farm Fresh Free Range eggs scrambled with spinach and cheese nestled on old-fashioned ham.
  • Blueberry buttermilk pancakes topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, served with Nova Scotia maple syrup and apple sausages.
  • Spinach, Ham and Cheese Strata served with fresh tomato salsa and whole grain toast.
  • Decadent French Toast baked on a bed of brown sugar, cinnamon and syrup, served with a dollop sour cream.

We will gladly accommodate special dietary needs whenever possible. Please let us know in advance of any food allergies.
