Wineries:
There are three wineries in the area. Blomidon Ridge Winery, Gaspereau Winery, and Grand Pre Winery all offer tours and wine tasting daily (seasonal).
Blomidon Estate Winery

Located on the Minas Basin, they have the first plantings of Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Baco Noir, Pinot Noir and Shiraz in the province. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a stroll or a picnic in the vineyard and/or purchase items from our on-site wine shop. Open 11am-6pm, Off-season hours please check with the wine shop.
Gaspereau Winery

The land was once an apple orchard. The vineyards were first planted in 1996 and by 1999 the vineyard had established the Gaspereau Valley as an ultimate grape growing region. Finally in 2004 the Winery opened. They now
offer free tours daily (mid-May to mid-October) at 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm. Of course there is complimentary wine tasting.
Grand Pre Wines

This was Nova Scotia's first operating winery. It features award-winning wines, cobblestone courtyards, beautiful gardens, art gallery, and a wonderful European pergola. Tours and tasting daily (Mid May - End of October) $6 fee. The Winery also features Martini & Tapas night with live music on the pergola every Thursday nights throughout the summer.
